The vast majority of Christians see the Bible as a combination of Jewish scriptures (known by Christians as "Old Covenant", "Old Testament" or "Old Testament"), and "New Testament, New Testament or Testament, describing Jesus' life. Renewed), various important writings of the "second Jewish temple") are thought to be part of the Christian Scriptures. The old covenant, which is the first major part of the Christian Bible, which is supplemented through the new covenant.
The Bible is the most scattered book in the world. Both Jewish writings and the Christian Bible have been translated many times, and into more languages (more than 2,100 languages) than any other book. It is said that more than five billion copies of the Bible have been sold since 1815, making the best -selling book of all time.
Due to Christian predominance in Europe, from Roman wind to the wind of light, the Bibles have influenced not only religion but also the language, law and natural philosophy of the main current of Western civilization. The smell of light and the scientific revolution in Europe and America brought skepticism about the divine origin and historical accuracy of the Bible. Some scholars continue to use the Bible as a historical document, as there are archaeological sites that coincide with descriptions of events and places, including possible locations of sodoma and gomorrahs, and the ruins left after the fall of Jericho.
The "Bible" designation is sometimes used as a description of other beliefs. Thus Guru Granth Sahib often looks at Indian religious writing as the Sikh Bible. After the publication of the Mormon Book, in 1830, it was sometimes known as the "Golden Bible" by the Mormons. Some Christians oppose such use as abuse, and some non -Christians see this as insensitive. The word "Bible" is sometimes used as a description of a book of subject truths, which is comprehensive and authoritative; Some books based on this include the word "Bible" in their names (eg "PC Bible" etc.).
The Jewish and Christian Bibles are actually gathering those books that in their ancestry were a number of independent books.
